My journey into the music and event industry has been anything but linear. It took years of exploration and different experiences such as playing professional basketball, sorting fish, working in real estate… All while moving through four different countries and countless of cities… Before I realized where I truly belong. Cause no matter what I did or where I went, one thing always remained constant: my love and passion for music.
Music has been my companion through every high and low. It has been there on rainy days when everything felt impossible, during moments of celebration, in the gym pushing me forward, in times of loneliness when I needed to feel understood, or needed help with understanding the world around me.
At the start of 2024, attending music events also became more than just a source of pleasure and entertainment—it became a lifeline. During a time when I was struggling the most, having made the difficult decision to leave my past and the people in it behind in order to build the future I’ve always dreamed of, these events – through their blend of music, people, and movement – became a form of therapy that strengthened both my body and mind.
Yet, I often found myself missing out on events simply because I had no one to go with. That realization led me to embark on my first solo rave at Verknipt in February 2024 – an experience that changed everything. Going alone forced me to step out of my comfort zone, embrace confidence, and ultimately, discover a deeper sense of self. What started as a decision to not wait for others, quickly turned into a journey of self-discovery that rippled into every aspect of my life.
One of the doors this journey opened was writing for EDMHouseNetwork. No longer dependent on others to pursue what I love, I took a leap and applied for a freelance writing position. My trial article on Brutalismus 3000 was accepted, and from that moment on, I´ve had the privilege of covering artists, releases, and events like Awakenings, Mysteryland, Free Your Mind and ADE. Amazing experiences that further allowed me to grow both as a professional in the scene, and individual.
But my passion for the scene didn’t stop there. In late 2024, I joined Soar Music Group as a Campaign Manager, working directly with artists to help their music reach the right audience. Learning about playlisting inspired me to curate my own, deepening my understanding of music marketing and making it the focus of my thesis.
Around the same time, an unexpected encounter with Tom, the founder of Rave Radar led to another defining moment. It turned out that we shared a vision for the techno and underground scene in the Netherlands, and after exchanging a variaty of thoughts and ideas, I got the honor of becoming Rave Radar´s co-owner and relationship manager. Together, Tom and I are now building a community centered on quality, unique experiences, and safety for all.
To summarize, to me, music and events are more than just entertainment – they are powerful forces that connect, heal, and transform. Beyond algorithms and metrics, I believe in creating spaces where artistry is valued over vanity, where real connections are forged, and where passion fuels everything we do. Through content creation, event curation, and collaborations, my goal is to bridge the gap between artists, events, and audiences – shaping narratives that are not only heard but truly felt.
At the heart of it all is my relentless curiosity and refusal to settle. Whether through Rave Radar, my writing, or the events I support, I strive to challenge the status quo, uplift talent, and cultivate a culture where authenticity thrives.
If you’re here, you probably share the same love for music, innovation, and real connections.
Let’s create something extraordinary together!
